The Story of Mirage

Distant horizons and shifting illusions inspired the Mirage pattern. Stemming from the Latin word “Mirari” (to wonder at), Mirage plays along with the evanescent bands of solids, vapors, and bending light rays that compose a mirage in nature, and translates them into fine silk and wool. Tranquil but intriguing, the Mirage pattern echoes elements of Abstract Expressionist paintings, making it ideal for contemporary or contemporized settings.

Environments are a work of art, each piece plays a vital part, and each piece must play well together. We are looking for the perfect composition of pieces to create balance, harmony, and a desired look and feel. Sometimes the furniture is the art and the harmony we seek is a lush surface to ground the room.

Whether Mirage is colored to function as the surface or the object of a room, the combo of its playful asymmetry and subtle ombré fading make for a useful, easy-to-place backdrop. Within some environments, we are creating a color story platform for accessorizing by the client.

A transitional flooring concept like Mirage allows for use of other bold patterns within the same space, while maintaining a crisp level of interest in what's underfoot.
