Langham Chicago

Often, world-renowned designers and architects specify Lapchi rugs for the environments they create. In the context of Chicago’s rich history in architecture, these three pieces installed in the lobby of the newly renovated Langham Hotel and Travel Restaurant are an excellent instance.

The office of Lohan Anderson (the firm we worked with) is conveniently located in the same building—but the more relevant coincidence is that the firm’s director, Dirk Lohan, is the grandson of Mies Van Der Rohe, the iconic and influential architect behind this building and many others on Chicago’s skyline.

Also of note, the two custom parquet pieces in this serene setting are a subtle foundation for Spanish sculptor Jaume Plensa’s work, also featured in Chicago’s Millennium Park.
