A year ago in New York, Lapchi introduced an innovative collection of rugs called Eclectica, designed in Italy and hand-knotted in the Punjab. Features of this colorful collection included complex weaving techniques, organic designs, small pot dyeing, and extreme attention to detail, especially in the finishing stages of production.
The rugs were very well received in New York and highly acclaimed the following January at Domotex. This year, Lapchi returns to New York, completing the collection with 18 exciting new Eclectica rugs.
Eclectica achieves an organic, vintage look and feel expressed through texture, color, and attention to detail. It is the vision of a designer with a passionate devotion to beauty in handmade rugs.
The collection seen in its entirety represents an alternate choice to the modernity of Nepalese rugs; an acclaimed innovation in the look and feel of handmade rugs.
