One Rug Makes You Larger, and One Rug Makes You Small

Monday, April 8th, 6-8pm | Lapchi Rug Design Studio | 809 NW Flanders Street, Portland

Join us in the Lapchi Rug Design Studio as we descend down the rabbit hole for an event that promises to be a feast for the senses.  You’ve never seen anything quite like this, Alice.

Be present for the unveiling of a collection of stunning new hand-made rugs, unlike any you have seen before. Meet Lapchi Rug Designers Tom DeMarco and Nathan Tucker. Hear them talk about the creation of the Tocca Collection and the many new ways Tocca techniques can be used in both residential and commercial environments.

No longer is rug patterning strictly a function of color variation. Like the ripples left in the sand as the tide recedes, Tocca rugs are textured expressions of pattern with or without the use of color. Tocca is rich for the eyes and the hand.

For those looking for the next new thing in Rug Design, this is it. Design Professionals will learn how to incorporate up to six different weaving techniques to create beautifully textured, patterned rugs in a range of styles.

With Tocca, transform bold, vibrant patterns in energetic color blocks into monochromatic surfaces. The patterns are coaxed subtly to the surface by master weavers working with multiple weaving techniques.

This is a milestone event. It will open your eyes to a new way of viewing handmade rugs. It’s also a celebration. Enjoy light organic fare and refreshments, inspired by Tocca design.
